Samsung is ready to unveil the secret of its next model of the popular smartphone Galaxy Note in an event that was held on August 29, two weeks before the possible debut of the new Apple iPhone. The two great rivals prepare for a full-scale battle with the expected launch of the next two key models in a time when both are facing the greatest trial for U.S. patents.
“We intend to publicize the Galaxy Notice in the next event from Samsung, Samsung Mobile Unpack, in Berlin on August 29,” a Samsung spokesman on Friday, without elaborating. The event will take place two days before the opening of Europe’s largest trade fair for consumer electronics IFA.
The media reports in South Korea speculate that the new Galaxy may file a Notice unbreakable screen, 5.5 inches (slightly larger than the current one), and a faster processor and a much better camera.
Samsung, a company that later was taken over the market for smartphones, Apple surpassed last year to become the world’s largest maker of smartphones. The South Korean firm is trying to assert their supremacy by updating your phone line before the release of the fifth version of Apple’s iPhone, whose launch is expected in October.
Samsung launched its big bet, the Galaxy S III, last May. For its part, Apple plans to launch a major product for the September 12 and fueling speculation that the company may announce the sale of its redesigned iPhone.
Estimates indicate that Samsung increased shipments of smartphones to 50.5 million in the quarter April to June 2012, nearly double the 26 million iPhones sold. Shipments of Apple in the June quarter fell 26 percent from the previous quarter, with the instability of the economy and consumers looking forward before the possible arrival of the iPhone 5.
The two high-tech giants have started this week a trial in a U.S. courtin a battle triggered by the demand for Apple patent violation last year, when he said that Samsung had copied the models of ‘smartphones’ and ‘tablets’ of their company. Samsung has struck back.
